This class is for those who are interested in developing the skills needed to pass the qualifications for the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office (SBCSO)
Conceal Carry Weapons (CCW) permit.

Course Overview

Duration: 4 hours

Maximum Participants: 8

• Review of gun handling and marksmanship skills
• Drawing from the holster
• Shooting from various distances Shooting under time constraints
• Shooting with support/off hand
• Dry fire drills and strategies that will help students continue to improve their skills at home.

Class Requirements

• Personal handgun(s) suitable for conceal carry
• Outside the waistband (OTW), leather or kydex holster, for each gun
  • Holster must cover trigger completely
  • Holster must be sturdy (holds its shape after gun is drawn)
  • No retention straps
  • No Serpa holsters
• Study leather or web belt
• 150 rounds of target ammunition
• Eye and Ear protection

Recommended, But Not Required

• At least 2 magazines or speed loaders for each gun
• Magazine pouch(es)
